Playing in the playground with Differently Kids

For this CAS activity, we decided to take the kids out to the playground in the school. We took them on the slide and on the trampoline. It was very fun but at the same time, it was really hectic because the kids got really excited when they saw the ball pit and trampoline. My constant fear was that the kid I was handling would get hurt, but to my surprise, they new handle themselves and required no help at all. we played with them on the trampoline and in the ball pit, it was nice to see them in a different environment.

This activity was seen to be important for many reasons as it was important that the kids were comfortable to play and interact with us and furthermore it was important as this activity laid the basis of trust for the children and myself.  This meant that communication was an essential task for me as I needed to communicate effectively with the children I was working to understand their needs and their wants. This was an integral part of the activity

This activity mainly taught me to be careful with the children and at the same time give them space as they really know what they are doing and that communication is essential for their development
