Light intensifies - A photography session
For this session of CAS one, our teacher had taught the basics of photography. So for this session, we learned about light and how it is one of the core elements of taking a picture. we learned that light can be used in two ways the first one is from an artificial source and the other could be from a natural source such as the sun. we also learned about reflects and how they are used in photography. We learned that there are 4 types of reflectors - Gold, Black, White, and silver. The gold reflector is used to reflect a gold and warm light on to the subject which suitable for an outdoor shooting, the silver one is used to produce high contrast images. The black deflector can be used to black light or reduce the amount of light and the white reflector produces an even colored lighting. After learning the theoretical aspects of light our teacher paired us and made us take pictures with the scarf he brought, below is the picture I took of my friend.
I was happy with this picture as I felt that there was a good contrast between the light and the shadow falling on her face
This picture is what my friend took of me. I took on the iconic stance of Daredevil for this picture
I really liked this activity and I hope to do more.
